The charity provides funding to students from England and Wales looking to complete a degree at Middlesex University and who need financial assistance in order to study.
Our Mission
Professor Malcolm Sargeant was the first of his family to go to university, and this changed his life and his future. As a legacy to him and his life, we, the Trustees, have set up this charity to help future students achieve their goals by helping with access to a university education.
Our first scholarship!
We did it! Thanks to generous donations, The Professor Malcolm Sargeant Charitable Trust awarded its first scholarship to a student at Middlesex University for the academic year 2022-2023. Noor was awarded the scholarship after a high volume of applications, and the Charity is incredibly pleased to be able to award this scholarship to a fantastic student. Here is Noor’s story.
The Charity is currently advertising for applicants for its 2023-2024 scholarship at Middlesex University. It intends to provide a further £2,000 to a deserving student who will be studying in their first year at Middlesex University and who can meet the criteria, which includes being the first in their generation to attend University.
